Our journey into property management began with a simple realisation shared between two lifelong friends. As we observed the property market, we noticed a glaring need for a qualified, reliable leasehold property management company who would truly deliver on their promises. This insight sparked our ambition to make a difference, and from this, Carrick & Reid Property Management was born

From Friendship to Industry Leaders: How We Became the Property Managers We Wished Existed

The Beginning: A Shared Vision

Natalie and Pippa, co-founders of Carrick & Reid Property Management, have a friendship that has spanned decades and has always been built on mutual respect, trust, and a shared drive for excellence. With backgrounds in real estate and property management, both having graduated from John Moores University with a degree in Property Management and a masters in Commercial Property Development, and a keen understanding of the housing market, we would often discuss the challenges leaseholders faced with the management of their apartment blocks.

We saw a recurring theme: a lack of dependable managing agents that truly cared for the properties and the people living in them, with expert knowledge of the industry and current legislation. Many property management companies overpromised and underdelivered, leaving property owners and investors dissatisfied. We knew we could do better.

Turning Insight into Action

Fuelled by our observations and a desire to raise the bar, we decided to take the leap into opening our own property management company. Our mission was clear: to provide a level of service that we would want for ourselves. We wanted to create a company where integrity, excellence, and personal attention were not just goals, but everyday practices.

Building Our Company

Starting from the ground up, we have dedicated ourselves to years of learning everything there is to know about leasehold property management. We have invested in the latest technology, assembled a team of like-minded professionals, and developed comprehensive systems to ensure every aspect of our business meets the highest standards.

From day one of our management, we emphasise the importance of transparent communication and a personalised service as well as rigorous procedures to ensure the smooth management of your development . We know that the success of our company will depend on our ability to deliver consistent, high-quality results and build strong relationships with clients and leaseholders.

Director

Pippa Burchnall BSc & MSc

Graduated with a degree in Property Management BSc and Master MSc in Commercial Property Development, having left university and securing my first role in Block Management, I knew this was the area of property I felt my skills and knowledge would really strive in. I have worked across the North West for the past 17 years, working with small independents business to large corporations. Both, allowing me to manage an array of sites across the UK, from as far north as Sheffield to as far south as London, has been both rewarding and challenging.

The educational and professional background out the way a little about me, I love to bake and my friends often say I should make a business out of that as its the best cakes and bakes they have had (maybe I should bake treats for all new leaseholders and you can judge). I love to travel and socialise with my friends, nothing beats good company and a glass of wine at the end of the week.

Director

Natalie Ormrod BSc & MSc

Graduated with a degree in Property Management BSc and Master in Commercial Property Development. My experience in property has spanned across an array of disciplines, from lettings, block management right through to working in valuation, valuing anything from Grade II listed buildings, land and large development sites, which has allowed me to have a clear understanding of what is involved from the onset of development right through to managing the services and operations of the development.

Now thats the educational professional aspect of my experiences and knowledge out the way, here is a little about me. I love to travel, visit the theatre, who doesn’t love a good musical! I also have a passion to learn to fly a plane! Additionally, I am passionate about coaching and supporting others, which is a core value at Carrick & Reid as we strive to empower and mentor our team members to reach their full potential.

Administrator

Stephanie Walker

Stephanie, is our administrator and a great support to both Pippa and Natalie, she is on hand to answer leaseholders queries and ensure the administration is in order.

Stephanie's, knowledge expands across many disciplines and has worked direct with customers for some time, her customer service skills are excellent and we are delighted to have her onboard.

Property Manager

Elizabeth Melendez

Elizabeth is a dedicated and highly skilled property manager with a strong background in accounting and financial management. With a number of years of experience in the property industry and hotelier sector, she brings a wealth of knowledge in overseeing property operations, optimising financial performance, and ensuring seamless leaseholder relations.

Her expertise in accounting allows her to manage budgets, handle financial reporting, and maximize service charge accounts efficiently. Elizabeth is not only committed to providing top-tier service, ensuring properties are well-managed but has meticulous attention to detail and financial acumen make her an invaluable asset to any property portfolio.

Administrator

Bethany Churchill

Bethany, is one of our administrators and is great support to the team, she is on hand to answer leaseholders queries and ensure the administration is in order.

Bethany, brings a wealth of experience and a fun element to the team, she is hardworking and goes above and beyond in her role as an admin assistant.

Facilities Manager

Claire Jones

Claire is a dedicated Facilities Manager with extensive experience in block management, ensuring residential properties run smoothly and efficiently. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, she oversees building maintenance, health and safety compliance, and contractor management to keep properties in top condition.

Passionate about delivering high-quality service, Claire works closely with residents, leaseholders and management teams to create safe, well-maintained, and comfortable living environments. Her strong problem-solving skills and hands-on approach make her a trusted professional in the property management industry.
